About the Friends of Bedford Depot Park
Friends of Bedford Depot Park was incorporated in January 1995 as a non-profit (501-C-3) organization. It now has over 240 members throughout the country. The group:
- Helped establish and now supports Bedford Depot Park at the Minuteman Bikeway terminus.
- Helped restore Boston & Maine Railroad Rail Diesel Car #6211 for static display.
- Researches and preserves the history of the narrow-gauge Billerica & Bedford Railroad and the B&M's former Lexington and Reformatory Branches.
- Publishes a newsletter, Bedford Depot News.
FBDP sponsors occasional activities for its members such as this expedition over the
abandoned Reformatory Branch right-of-way between Bedford and Concord, Massachusetts.
