The Freight House and railcar are open now on Sunday as well as Saturday afternoons. Since reopening for the season on April 22, the hours have been 2 to 5 pm both days.
Thanks go to Cynthia Mork and Henry and Greg Carpenter for volunteering to be shopkeepers on those afternoons. It is they who have made the welcome center and museum available again to the public. Additional volunteers are needed, either for regular shifts or just occasionally to fill in. No experience is necessary and training is provided. The Carpenter-Mork family reports that volunteering has been a fun and rewarding way to support the Friends of Bedford Depot Park and to contribute to and engage with the broader community.
