The Freight House and Budd Rail Diesel Car will continue to be open from 11 AM to 5 PM on weekends through Sunday, December 22, before closing for the winter. Come enjoy the model railroad (in its last season) and perhaps find just the gift you were looking for. After being out of stock for years, expected this week is a shipment of colorful T-shirts honoring the narrow-gauge Billerica & Bedford Railroad. Noteworthy also is a price reduction for the DVDs about New England railroading in the 1950s through 1970s that the late Jim Shea produced from the films of John M. Boardman. Each of the seven Boardman volumes is now $10 and the full set is just $50. As usual, also in stock are numerous books about local railroad and Bedford history and a variety of attractive items from the Bedford Historical Society.
